IMPORTANT NEW RULES FOR MEMBERSHIP The Intermountan Magicians Association (IMA) will cease to exist on December 31, 2011.
You must be a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) to become a member of Ring 193. Ring dues are $10 a year, just as they were for the IMA.
Dues in the International Brotherhood of Magicians are as follows:
Full membership, with the IBM magazine,The Linking Ring: $50 a year
Membership without receiving the IBM magazine: $30 a year
Youth, 18 and under with magazine: $35 a year
Youth, 18 and under without magazine: $15 a year
Spouse or bona-fide assistant to a magician: $15 a year
You may join the IBM on line at JOIN IBM . Look for "Join IBM" on the left-hand side of the home page and click on it.

Ring 193 dues are due by February 1 and may be paid by cash or check (made payable to Thalia Swinyer) on or before the February meeting.
What does this mean and why is it important to you? Future lectures will cost $15* for members of both the IBM and Ring. Guests will be charged $10 more per person. You will also be required to be a member of both to participate in the Annual Magic Contest or to hold an office in the Ring. We also hope to offer more benefits in the future. This means you can be a member of both the IBM and Ring 193 for as low as $40 a year.
(*Certain lectures may require additional funding but always less for members of IBM and Ring.)

RING MEMBERS GET A STICKER ON THEIR IBM CARD Taking a hint from the toll road "Quick Passes" or whatever they may be called, Ring 193 members will be whisked into lectures at the lower rate by simply showing their IBM membership card with the Ring 193 sticker on the back. Already paid? Bring your IBM membership card and get your sticker put on the back of it Feb 1.
That means at the February meeting you will be able to see and buy those reduced rate DVDs and props before the non-Ring members simply by flashing your membership card with the sticker.
Not a member yet? Bring a check for your International Dues, plus $10 in cash for Ring dues, and you can become a member that night! Sound good? You betcha!
